This is a magazine that I created to show some of Frank LLoyd Wright's buildings. He, to me, seems like a very sophisticated architect. I thought the black and white cover kind of played on that.
Nice job with the binding Josie...this pulls me in from the start.
One concern I have, however, is that you got all of your images from the web. A major part of this assignment was to seek information from magazines and journals. Please be sure to do this in your future design research!
Your analysis is right on point. I appreciate the way you are really looking at the buildings and trying to figure out what they are about. I would also encourage you, however, to be more critical. Surely there are things you don't like about Wright's work. If so what are they and why?
Finally, in your composition, avoid placing things at angles...especially at opposing angles. This creates odd bits of white space. In pages where the image and text together leave a lot of extra space, push the two entities together so that they are perceived as one unit, rather than two small things trying to fill up a whole page.
Hi, my name is Josie. I am an interior architecture student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro...or UNCG. This is an amazing program. It really makes those in it see things in a different way. It's taught me to think more creatively and abstractly. I'm also way more observant of the environment in which I'm in. The teachers are such an inspiration and really know what they're talking about. Iarc is sometimes pretty stressful, but oh so worth it!
